Abstracted Woman

Fall 2010, Acrylic Paint and Adobe Photoshop
This was a school assignment of many stages. I had to pick a picture, bring it into Photoshop and simplify it. Next, I adjusted the color scheme to find one i liked- I chose analogous plus black. Then, recreated it using acrylic paint. The picture was of a woman at her husbands funeral with a veil in front of her face. The picture, mostly the veil, simplified to a very interesting abstraction.

Forest Light

I painted this picture in a attempt to show how beautiful and colorful a forest is when light is coming through the trees.
